My husband and I started attending CCP at the beginning of this year and we know the Lord has led us here. We had been praying for a church with sound doctrine that teaches the actual word of God. The people here are very welcoming. The women's Bible study and marriage ministry have both been a blessing for us. It's really tough to come across a great church that teaches the word of God the way it should. We feel so blessed to have found this beautiful place. Thank you Jesus! 💕 if you're looking for a church that teaches straight from the Bible , with a great community of believers and the gospel is not watered down then this one is it. I've been to other Calvary Chapels, namely the Chino Hills and Fullerton ones, and I have to say this one is by-far the worst. They had a frankly absurd number of security staff, as though it were a TSA checkpoint or something. They all were wired up and mic'd up, all over the place, watching the congregation and patrolling the outside the whole time. It gave extremely dystopian, non-friendly vibes. Also, kind of LARP-y. There weren't that many people attending, and it is a pretty small building, so I think the amount of security was seriously overkill. On top of all of this, the pastor (I didn't get his name, I don't think they mentioned it?) Gave a frankly horrible sermon. He is not the best speaker, and very clearly injected his own political bias' into every aspect of it. He repeated multiple times that he only abides by the bible, before quoting the bible, and building his own interpretation. It was also fraught with a level of smug that made me feel like they were more so trying to indoctrinate rather than build faith or new followers. He spoke badly about other churches, called them idiots, and said that essentially everyone he disagrees with is stupid, but he has the word of God on his side. But did not make a strong case for me to believe him. If you're looking to convert a friend, or even just looking for a church that truly quotes from the bible, and doesn't build tenuous interpretations that are filled with political bias, DO NOT come here. I am shocked the Calvary Chapel would support this type of sermon. This is a Bible teaching church. Pastor Reyes is super knowledgeable!. People are super friendly. We were greeted and shown around by some people the 1st day. They have an amazing book store and a place to have coffee upstairs. Most people bring their Bible's and take notes. If you're looking for a new church, definitely check them out. I would like to Thank you ! For your prayers for my family! Psalm 23,91, I praise God for every church that has people open their Bibles and dive into the Word of God. Psalm 100 ! The book of Matthew and James was opened! Still my two favorites! I praise God for the couple next door to me! Their light was shining so bright! That Spoke to me ! what makes them. So different ? JESUS I can't say enough good things about my church! They have helped me in so many ways! I have a relationship with God today, that I never thought possible!
