It was a pleasure to be back home in Pasadena to honor the life of Prophet Rogers G. DeCuir. He was a great man of God and has left a great legacy! Recently a dear friend of mine passed away. She was a member of this church. The church denied her daughter request to hold her mother funeral. Because the preacher is out of town. My friend family been supporting this church for decades. Unbelievable, and unacceptable. My family has been a part of the congregation at Metropolitan Baptist Church for nearly 100 years. The Floyd/Ford/Johnson/Robertson family has been woven into the history of this church. Recently attended a memorial here. It was good to be back home for a moment. The event was sad but nice to see some of the people I haven't seen in years. I grew up in this church. Things changed quite a bit. Truly a faith base place
