I am proud to come from a lineage of true civil rights activists in Pasadena, California. My grandfather, John Henry English, served as a leader among the Pasadena civil rights activists, and as a little girl I remember sitting on his shoulders during rallies at New Revelation Baptist Church – 855 N Orange Grove Blvd, Pasadena, California. I remember my grandfather standing alongside Reverend Jesse Jackson as the movement for justice and equality continued to grow across this nation. I remember listening to the speeches, watching the people gather in faith and unity, and I remember those big “Keep Hope Alive” buttons that I loved so much as a child. Those moments shaped generations of us and taught us that faith and action must walk hand in hand if we truly want to change our communities. The Rainbow Coalition movement Reverend Jesse Jackson helped build. Rest in peace Uncle Jesse. Your courage, your voice, and the doors you opened will never be forgotten. Your legacy lives on through those of us who continue to serve our communities today. ✊🏾 My mom been a member for 10+ plus years she loves her pastor. Pastor Turner is a very intellectual warrior of Christ and my mother and I had some very hard time was in need when I was going through a lot of stuff in my life their prayers their support really brought through it I want to thank you Revelation so much much love pastor....brandi We had a Wonderful time at the revival on last Wednesday night.
