Words can’t fully describe how much Verbo has impacted my life and the lives of so many others. I started attending consistently about a year and a half ago, and the blessing Verbo has been to me since then is truly beyond words. From the very first day I stepped into the church, I was welcomed with genuine love and kindness. It wasn’t only from the people serving, but also from the attendees themselves. I was greeted warmly by the ushers when I arrived, and after service, many others took the time to welcome me personally. At Verbo, it feels like more than just a church — it truly feels like family. During some of the hardest moments in my life, I’ve had leaders and members sit down with me one-on-one, pray with me, encourage me, and simply be there when I needed support most. By the grace of God, the impact they’ve had on my life is something I’ll never forget. What I love most about Verbo is the genuine devotion to God’s Word and the heart the church has for serving others. You can see it not only inside the church, but throughout the entire community. Verbo supports people in so many ways through programs like tutoring, counseling, food distributions, and much more. Verbo is constantly striving to be a light in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, and it has truly made a meaningful impact in the community. Honestly, if it weren’t for Verbo and the people God placed there, my life would look completely different today. I’m deeply grateful for this church and everyone in it. If you’re looking for a church community where people genuinely care, love God, and serve others, I would wholeheartedly recommend Verbo. From children to elders, there is care, support, and community for every age group, along with special events and ministries for both men and women. Verbo is truly a place where people are welcomed, loved, and supported. This ministry is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful entities of any kind I have ever seen in my entire life. This single structure on the corner of Bay Road and Warrington Avenue in the North Fair Oaks neighborhood of Redwood City in San Mateo County, CA is having a profoundly positive impact on the citizens of our city, county and state. The leadership and members help to restore marriages and families. They unite together people from completely different national and socioeconomic backgrounds. They provide the equipment, scheduling and needed space for a large-scale adult soccer league that is utilized by at least several hundred loyal community residents. They provide free tutoring for children and free English classes for adults. They distribute high quality, healthy food (dairy, fruit, meat, vegetables) twice a week, every week, month after month, and year after year. They collaborate with the sheriff, city and county leaders, and elected officials to serve the great citizens that these same public servants represent so very well. My life, personally, is being absolutely and totally transformed 180° through the compassion, generosity, kindness and love of the people who constitute Familia Cristiana Verbo. Please do yourself a favor and visit us as soon as you're able. You and your family will be blessed abundantly. And I can guarantee you of this, because it's already happening to me. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with an authentic, family like warmth that makes you feel instantly at home. The worship here is absolutely amazing. It is deeply uplifting and sets such a beautiful tone for the service. They also do an incredible job serving and supporting the local community. What I appreciate most, though, is their approach to the Bible: they stay deeply rooted in the truth of the Word without being legalistic or rigid about it. It’s just a loving, Christ-centered community doing great things without any pretense. Highly recommended! Good afternoon, I came to the lobby to inquire about the church around 1230 today, Friday afternoon, I was going to ask this gentleman about it. He blew past me didn’t give me more than three seconds.” It’s my church and I’m the pastor of this church and it’s only Spanish-speaking” is what he said and kept on going inside Unfortunately, that five second snippet showed me how cold and rude this church pastor is. Are these what Christian people are like? I sent this email to them two weeks ago and did not get a response hence this post The staff and volunteers have a heart of gold. They truly care about the community of North Fair Oaks. This church has a strong presence in the community as they minister to people who are in need. They serve meals with second harvest Food Bank. They give counseling. They have programs for kids in the summer and give out backpacks. These are just a few things at the church does to enrich the lives of others
