My wife and I were attending a Candlelight String Quartet concert-Vivaldi's Four Seasons The First Congregational Church-Riversude, CA . It was the first time going to this venue and we wanted to see if sitting in woiden pews for 60 minutes was going to be uncomfortable or not. I'm very glad to report the pews all have cushions on them. It made sitting on the wooden church pews comfortable. The venue itself is intimate and seen to suit this classical music concert. There are 16 rows of pews, so the musicians are closer to evettyone than at other Candlelight venues. The sound acoustics in this church venue was great for this concert. The church with all of the candkes (battery operated) just added another level of anbiance to this concert. My wife & I look forward to attending more Candlelight concerts at this church venue. Absolutely amazing went to see Juan Gabriel tribute. Such a beautiful performance by the violinists the cello and the viola player . Will have to do another candlelight tribute concert to another band n like the Beatles . Can’t wait !!!! I booked tickets for our 48th wedding Anniversary. As fans of Fleetwood Mac, we were not disappointed! The talented young musicians really did their homework. Simply Amazing! Hands down one of the most beautiful concerts I’ve ever attended. The music was so moving that I found myself tearing up more than once. The arrangements were incredibly thoughtful and did a stunning job honoring the original artists (Queen and Abba) while allowing the string musicians to truly shine. The candlelit setting elevated the entire experience — intimate, elegant, and unforgettable. Even if you don’t typically listen to classical music or string ensembles, this is the perfect introduction. It’s accessible, emotional, and absolutely captivating. My only complaint? It ended too soon. The hour flew by, and I genuinely could have listened all night. Highly recommend — I will absolutely attend again. This church has been just what Ive needed for my spiritual health. With a young growing family the welcoming atmosphere has been great and surprisingly accommodating. The open and affirming message and community engagement is a breath of fresh air. I think it's the perfect blend of traditional worship with progressive ideas and theology.
