I had always attended non-denominational churches in my life but there is such good teaching and community outreach that I decided to join! We initially started going to this church for summer camps and seasonal outdoor events, and we decided to start attending. We simply wanted to check out a different church to gain perspective. So, we took our daughter to the middle school kids section and headed to service. After service we went to pick her up and they were not in the room. There was a note stating that they went to view the baptisms. Frantically, we went to the baptism section and she was not there! My daughter was lost! We went everywhere looking asking where the kids went! Appearantly, they did go together, but the teacher had gone to chat with others, and all of the kids left to meet their parents and my daughter was left alone. Luckily, my daughter was OK, but emotionally, not. This was completely unacceptable, and we will never step foot in this church again! Their behavior was completely negligent, especially with a first time visitor. This church is so unwelcoming. I was hungry going though life challenges. Stop by during the week to see if assistance and food. They where doing some type of wood cutting and grilling food. I was asked to hold as they contacted senior church officials to see if assistance could be approved. I waited around hungry for an hour or two. Some lady came and told me I had to leave because children was around. I was no where near the children and there were plenty of adults around. I believe she said that because I am black male. So how about if I wanted to attend Sunday services? Or any other services. This place is unwelcoming and I feel racist. I will never go back. Never had a church tell me to leave because children are around. Normal churches always have plenty of adults around and security. If you are a black male do not go to this church. The white lady will ask you too leave because children are around. Well don't children go to all churches? Such a loving environment and the brothers and sisters are like family from the very first visit. My heart was so heavy and burdened before I started attending,and now I actually feel the hope coming back. .
