What visitors say
We absolutely love City Bible Church in Sacramento. The worship is Christ-centered, genuine, and focused on glorifying God. The biblical teaching is solid, faithful to Scripture, and consistently challenges us to grow in our walk with Christ. The Bible studies are also excellent—thoughtful, engaging, and grounded in God’s Word. We’ve found a welcoming church family, meaningful fellowship, and countless opportunities to deepen our faith. We are truly grateful to be part of a church that is committed to sound doctrine and helping people follow Jesus faithfully. At City Bible Church, our faith centers around Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and rose again to offer eternal life to all through God's unending love and grace. We believe the Holy Spirit empowers us each day to walk in that love by serving our community with compassion, welcoming everyone as Jesus would, supporting one another through both joy and struggle, and actively loving both God and neighbor as the most important calling of our lives. It is this faith in and devotion to our Triune God, and the difference we strive to make through living it out, that we invite all people to come experience with us on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. as we worship Christ and encourage one another in our journey of faith. We see His love and the abundance of fruits in every service and community. Dirty Rags to Calvary. Expository preaching. True theology. The blood of Christ. Miracle Worker. Promise Keeper. Light in the darkness. Great place for worship and praise! The Gospel is definitely preached and taught here. City Bible has been home to our family since November 2017. We love the people, the pastors, and everything that God is doing for his glory through this local church! Come by on a Sunday morning at 10am and see for yourself! :) Ok, it is a little weird to "review" a church on google but this is how I found this church to go to, so here I am! This church is solid theologically and that is the main reason I am writing this review. I was visiting from out of town and I wanted to go to a theologically sound, gospel preaching church that doesn't water down the message. All/most of the pastors seem to have come from Grace Community Church (John MacArthur church) and the senior pastor, Vlad, was preaching that Sunday I visited and he was so good with the exegesis. He explained a very difficult passage in 1 Corinthians with grace, using the previous passage to interpret it. The people were welcoming and my friend and I were greeted by a few people at the welcome desk. They weren't too overwhelming with attention, just the right amount :) If I'm ever in the area I will return. So encouraged to see a solid biblical church. Hard to find these days.
