I have been visiting this church for more than a year. Always with a message from other visiting or in house ministers who brought a great word. I happened to go a few Sundays ago and the Pastor preach a POWERFUL word so rich and educational for me in tithing. OMG. I literally had to stop taking notes!!! He PREACHED without all of the hoopla. He laid it all out with power and grace. Bible study on Sunday works for me. I went back the following Sunday and it was him bringing fire again. I went t to a women’s ministry event. It was lovely. The leaders were approachable and the service was on time and flowed. The Pastors wife was the speaker. Excellent word. Very good word driven church who are serious about people. I feel good sowing seeds here. Amen. Great church helps its community with food and events for families and community love the people that workk here there not only helpful but friendly and full of praise Brought somebody here to collect food as I've been doing for nearly two years and overall haven't had any bad experiences until recently, as the same person I normally bring to this church was gathering food I was in dire need of a restroom and came inside to use it. As I was heading to the restroom what appeared to be a staff (female, presumably African-American, taller) greeted me in what appeared to be a polite and respectable manner but was under the assumption that I was there to gather food and directed me to where the food was being distributed. Out of concern that I would be denied access to the restroom I did not wish to state that I was here to help somebody else collect food and asked if I can use the restroom without stating why I was there, she allowed me to use the restroom which was greatly appreciated but upon leaving the restroom and attempting to return to my car to wait on who I brought that same staff directed me to where the food was yet again. To avoid potentially causing a scene I went in the direction she pointed and began to look for the person I brought, that same staff further directed me to where the food was after she saw that I was walking in another direction I guess assuming that I didn't know where I was going and starts to speak to me in a manner that I found unnecessary. As an attempt to return to my car I made it known to another staff person (also female, presumably African-American, wearing prescription glasses) that was signing people in and who spoke to me in a more ridiculous manner that I am looking for somebody and quickly walked away to return to my car. Though I made a similar statement the exact statement that I wished to make was "Excuse me, I am looking for somebody but I do not see her. Thanks." but I was afraid that I would start trouble by saying that, while I recognize that I had the option of staying in my car or fetching a restroom elsewhere both of these staff that I encountered appeared to be incompetent when it comes to speaking to people in a sensible manner (addressing me as "sweetie" and "mama") and assumed that all people who came were looking to gather food. This was not the most pleasant experience and I do not wish to return here at least not in-person, this incident occurred approximately on: Wednesday, January 21, 2026 My husband and I were looking for a new church, we thought it would be nice since I came on Saturday with my aunt and parents to a line dancing class everyone was very friendly. It was not the case Sunday, we had a gentleman come in and tell us about the family room which was nice we have our 7 month old baby but he’s been going to church since he was 6 weeks old the music doesn’t bug him and he generally falls asleep or just sits in our laps. When I was outside a usher approached my husband about moving our stroller mind you we are in a back row against a wall where there are 3 empty rows in front of us basically telling him to move the stroller. We chose the back to not be a bother to anyone and the stroller literally wasn’t in the way it was against the wall. Then when I came in and we were sitting another usher came and told us about the family room I was like I know thank you. I enjoy praise and worship so I wanted to enjoy it with everyone. About 7 minutes later another person comes and tells us about this room we already are highly aware of, I told her I know thank you. We took that as our cue to go. My son wasn’t crying, screaming, or shouting just existing. Apparently, it’s a problem to exist as a baby. Didn’t even listen to the sermon. I sang on my churches praise team right after giving birth and the baby wasn’t a problem as an infant or as a 6 month old. Just doing too much. I have been attending that shirt since it's been on date street. Pastor Joshua Beckley is awesome and a bible teaching Pastor. Come by and check us out. Won't be disappointed. Amen
