When I was at my lowest being beaten up by my boyfriend at the time I was 23 and set free took me in. Housed me, fed me, and got me to see what was before me in this life, how to listen, respect God's word, receive knowledge of the bible, and taught me how to also help others. Seeking the path Jesus Christ. Wanting me and others to strive for desiring the will to evolve and become a better self of ourselves. To recieve gods blessing in his time not ours. To know that there are powers to be seen. If we just are patient, steadfast and kind. They know how to reach out to communities and bring them back unto the Lord Jesus Christ. Love does really exist. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in the lord with all your heart and so not lean on your own understanding, I'm All you ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your path. So yeah set free is pretty darn cool. Years ago, every Friday, we (University students) stood in the food line. We appreciated all the help, and kindness given to struggling students. Pastor Ray is the nicest man and he always treated us with respect and kindness. Thank you I haven't been able to attend for a few months due to health problems but miss the informative Sunday sermons, great choice of spiritual music and friendly atmosphere. I was brought to tears to see 35 bicycles given to the children last Christmas. Sharing a hot Turkey dinner on Thanksgiving and third Sunday potlucks were great. Pastor Ray made himself arable to the congregation after services. Ready to accept Christ into your life? Dave and Susan are there to Pray with you. Rosie takes charge of the kids for Sunday school with amazing patience, I miss you all and hope to see you all soon. Set Free is a loving church and makes everone feel like family the first moment you step foot inside.God is very present there. Pastor Ray is an excellent pastor and always spreads a beutiful message about jesus at all the church services. Set Free changes lives through Jesus Christ and im greatful to be a disciple in this church.⛪😇🙌✌👍 We have attended SB SetFree about five years now. Yes, there are many homeless. However, I see it as Jesus smiling each time the door opens and a less than perfect person walks in. I guess it's not the traditional church with big budgets...the nicely painted walls, great flooring. However, it's not anout what it looks like, its about being in the house of the Lord and meeting Jesus. We are not homeless, but have fell on hard times ourselves at times. So to judge people that are dirty, smelly clothes, non shaven or a little off their meds....I choose to embrace them. to show them what a sense of belonging, fellowship and love. It is truly mot for everyone. But please dont judge their Christianity without getting to know them. Because I have felt so much more love and acceptance than i have im traditional blue collar church's. The homeless and poor will forever be among us as it states in the good book. You never know if maybe the Lord is sending an angel or one that maybe doesnt smell so Angeluc to test our faith. People who are homeless are not all addicts, alcoholics, or mentally deranged. Sit down with a less than perfect person and learn if what happened in their lives to land them girst class doorway or a bush to sleep in. Set Free is not for everybody, but being 100% honest, you at least get what you see. NOT putting on airs to try to be somebody they are not.
