What visitors say

I don’t live in San Diego, but I have relatives who do; whenever I’m in town I make it a point to visit Pastor Greg and this amazing fellowship. I just can’t say enough about this wonderful church family. Pastor delivers the Word so passionately. Anyone looking for a true bible based and healthy fear of God church, this is definitely the place! Cannot say enough great things about this special church. Sound Biblical teaching - literally line by line expository teaching. And worship is just beautiful, no flashing lights and overpowering drums. Just you and the Lord. Pastor Greg and his family are wonderful people who are grounded in the absolute truth of the Bible. They love Jesus and they do not chase money. I gladly drive an hour from East County each Sunday to soak in the atmosphere of true reverence. Rise Church was my home church for almost 5 years. It has been such a joy and incredible seeing God work through Pastor Greg and all the other people here! When I first started attending in late 2019, Rise was a church of 30-some people. And now? They’ve grown enough that there’s two services. Rise is often at the forefront of all the leading issues of the day and doesn’t back down from their beliefs. l appreciate Greg’s conviction to take a stand for his beliefs. I decided to leave Rise for a few personal reasons, but I still love the family of God here wholeheartedly, and I would encourage you to visit on a Sunday and see what makes this a special place. God is working here. We’ve been attending this church for about nine months now and we immediately felt connected. The church family and leadership are very loving and genuinely care about everyone. With Pastor Greg’s great teaching, special events, and mid-week Bible studies, we are able to go deeper into God’s word as it relates to the context of our times. The worship music is always phenomenal and passionate. We feel extremely grateful that God led us to such a wonderful church where we could learn, grow, get active in our community, and encourage, pray, and support one another. Pastor Greg has done a great job cultivating a warm welcoming home for GOD's people. He has a genuine love & passion for Jesus & family values that you feel when he delivers his sermons. Plus he does so without watering down & compromising the gospel when addressing current issues facing the world today which is important to me. Definitely would recommend Rise Church
