The word from Pastor Josh on Wednesday was beautifully delivered. You can tell it is a supportive and close congregation. The only suggestion I would have if the church aims to grow is to possibly have a greeter for newcomers as folks come in to help them feel welcomed because as a new face, no one said hello or even smiled. Thank goodness for Tina, who then introduced me to Pastor Josh when we were greeting each other during service when you “turn to your neighbor and say hello”. I will remember her kindness and warmth. Bless you all! My favorite church in LA! Family friendly atmosphere and real preaching only from the bible. Awesome Godly church! Evry other Tuesday night there has meeting for protecting our children health and rights. God bless this church and pastors. I am so thankful for the Lighthouse Church! This church has given me so many opportunities. In just three years, I have rededicated my life to God, gained a new church family, and been on two medical mission trips to Guatemala. Lighthouse is so welcoming and has so much to offer. I am beyond blessed to be growing in the Lighthouse Church, it's amazing to think that one small school (Lighthouse Christian Academy) led me to a church full of love and blessings. I went to this church for over a year. I had just moved across the country and I knew no one. I tried my best to be friendly, come regularly and involve myself in activities (morning prayer, after service fellowships outside, youth group) but despite my efforts, I went over looked. I craved a church family and instead I was met with a scene from high school. The church is categorized into cliques. You have the "I've been here 20 years +" crowd, the "I am related to the Pastor" crowd, the "I am in my twenties with ten babies" crowd and so on. Unless you are born into this church or have an "in" with a member, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
