I recently attended a food bank hosted by this church last Sunday. While I’m very grateful for the food provided, my overall experience was unfortunately negative. We were required to wait for about three hours in 85° weather, and were told we couldn’t begin unless everyone first sat inside the chapel. During this time, the pastor was yelling at attendees and came across as very rude and, at times, physically intrusive. I personally began experiencing an asthma attack due to the heat and stepped outside to catch my breath. When I did, I was questioned in a way that felt dismissive and lacked compassion, even after explaining my situation. I believe a church should be a welcoming and supportive environment, especially when serving the community. While I appreciate the resources provided, the way people were treated made the experience uncomfortable and disheartening. We fell on some financial troubles despite working and attending school.We thank the most high God for allowing these volunteers to take the time to give generously to those in need. This place has been helpful to our family. Thank you all. Periodically, I go there after my own church service for free food and produce on Sunday afternoons. It is open to the public and I wear my mask because it is open to anyone who has a need, including homeless people. The volunteers are supportive as much as possible. The actual church service is kinda good. But afterwards all people that want food donation services stay in the sanctuary’s for about 45minutes and they need someone there to control irate homeless guys a little better, if they get out of line . They need to be conscious on how they treat people who receive food services bcuz everyone isn’t homeless or ignorant! I’ll probably never return. They are crooks, my mother sent 50 dollars to me, sent it to them to pick up, and now all I do is get hung up on over and over talk about stealing from the homeless, this was a christmas present. Do not trust them stealing from the homeless!!!!!! You people should be ashamed just take everything from people that have nothing. People call themselves christians! What a joke Blows my mind how they have good reviews! But if you notice there from years ago not sure what happened but do yourself a favor and steer clear COA, The mission now they are people that care they dont steal from people that have nothing to start with. I needed that money to get lice shampoo and get my clothes and blankets washed so I can get rid of this nasty infection and they steel it honestly breaks my heart how places can call themselves churches and christians its beyond me.
