My kids (while in middle shcool) were blessed to experience the preaching of Pastor Mike during a church camp outing at Hume Lake. They raved about how he truly made the Bible come alive for them. What a blessing! I was able to hear Pastor Mike teach during an overnight outing in Santa Cruz years ago and his preaching brought me to tears. As a family we were able to visit Kings Harbor a few times when we were visiting the LA Area. WoW, Pastor Mike is a gem. So grateful for his rich and excellent teaching. If we're ever in So Cal again, this is the church we're always happy to attend. The pastor & elders teach from the New King James version & do not compromise. They have 2 sites; here on Garnier in Torrance & Burnout beach Redondo Beach. I serve on the beach but love attending the building for praise & prayer services. We have been here 8 1/2 years. New pastor last year, he is fabulous!! It is fairly large, so unless you volunteer for a ministry, kinda hard to get connected. Also look to join a community group to make friends. Look me up, if this will be your first time. You can sit w me and my family, so you won't feel weird. We love meeting new people and making new friends!!! Love this church!! Great people. The teaching is very practical and biblically sound. The pastor seems to genuinely care although dont know him very well. They have a children's and youth ministries, womens programs, life groups and reach out to the foster youth. Many of the families have foster children they have taken into their families. Loved the message so eloquently put to take it and apply its principles, exceptional understanding of the preacher writing in 5th chapter of Ecclesiastes.. my contentment is a rich blessing from God who gives to me and overwhelms me.. capacity to enjoy and the conviction to renounce- all at once.
