I was there 28 years ago. After 12 years, I am back in the same church. I met many old timers. I enjoyed and received the heart filled sermon. I am back LCGS. Kind people. They have helped me and my kids a lot, especially through the prayers. Call or email them to be in their prayers. Lots of special community events for everyone to attend. Usually, there are 2 different service times on Sundays except for on special days. There are small groups to be a part of. There is a food bank for those who need non-perishables. When my family and me left the Catholic church for our own personal reasons, our kids began volunteering at VBS over the summer. We fell in love with this church right away. It’s something you can’t explain but the community and the services feel like you are walking with Jesus. You leave feeling a true sense of what Christ has called you to be and do in life. I found Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd 20 years ago. I love the size of this church - makes it easy to build friendships through bible study, dinner clubs, and gatherings after the service. And there is an amazing new pastor, Dr. Ebassa Berhanu. Powerful sermons and worship. Truly a Holy Spirit driven church. Members are very inviting and involved in the church.
