I come from the Antioch Chinese Gospel Church, a branch of the Contra Costa Gospel Church. What moved me here was not the faith itself but the frequent "food-grabbing" scenes in the church, which made me feel uncomfortable and even hurt. After Sunday worship, there is usually a mealtime. However, what confuses me is that even before the worship ends, some adults begin to freely take food. As adults, can we wait until everyone is gathered before taking food together? The answer I received was no. Because of this, I truly dare not go anymore. The Bible teaches us, "But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way" (1 Corinthians 14:40). Order in fellowship is not only a manifestation of the unity of the church but also a practical expression of our love for one another. Furthermore, Luke 14:10 states: "But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all the other guests." This verse reminds us to have a heart of humility and patience—not to rush ahead or compete, but to respect one another and demonstrate the beauty of the Lord through our actions. It's a good church toh worship on Sunday, CCGC has Both English and Mandarin services. This is our church. Like it, love it, even not able to go to church during the time of the virus. A nice little church. Get there early!
