I have a friend who has been planning on being baptized through new city church, he did 3 weeks of their classes and showed up every time with much enthusiasm to become closer to god. He had went in today for his baptism and we could sense something was wrong when we didn’t see him being baptized, afterwards he approached us and let us know that the staff of new city church told him that they refuse to baptize him and that he could not come back to the church due to his transsexuality, and continued to make him feel horrible about himself. They told him that they will not baptize him nor allow him in the church until he changes back to his “normal gender”. New city has proven to not only be uninviting but also proven to be very disrespectful to the younger audience. There is absolutely nothing you can say or do that justifies turning someone down who wants to become closer to god. This church is horrible! For your own good, I suggest the many of other churches we have here in greatfalls! It is the most welcoming church I've ever been to. Every time I go I am greeted by people at the door and then somebody inside will come up and say "hello" and actually have a real conversation. The preaching is straight from the Bible and well delivered. I have two kids in the children's ministry and they usually come home singing songs from their class or asking questions about their lesson. This church has bold Biblical preaching & reverent worship, & most of all they practice what they preach, a rare gem in Colorado. New city is a great church where you will be challenged and encouraged to fight sin and you will find a supporting and loving community that will biblically encourage you in your walk with Christ. So grateful and blessed to have found New City. This church has been an awesome place! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and the pastors are great! Plus the live worship music is always fantastic!
