What visitors say

The church has a beautiful facility and the congregation was very friendly and welcoming during my visit. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this church because they have departed from the biblical qualifications for leadership by having a female pastor. Scripture is clear that the office of elder/pastor is reserved for qualified men (1 Timothy 2:12; 3:2; Titus 1:6). While there were many positive aspects to the visit, fidelity to God's Word must be the top priority for any church. Friendly, astute people in a lovely venue. Choir and pipe organ were uplifting. I’ve been attending this church since May of this yr. I usually bring a tote that includes my Bible, a book, and my water bottle because I read in the park after. Before I could enter the main chapel a security guard flags me down and demands to see what’s inside my tote and then said “I can’t go in with it”. All that was in my tote was my Bible, another book, my water bottle and my house keys. The gentlemen that always greets me every Sunday then intervenes and tells the security guard “hey totes are actually fine it’s only back packs that are not allowed and he doesn’t have anything bad in his tote” he then tells me that I can go in. A few minutes later I’m sitting and in comes the same security guard with another security guard. Asking about my tote again and to see my tote again. Now the second security guard tells me “you can’t be in here with a bag and you have to put it out side in the cubbies”. These cubbies are meant for kids and they’re literally outside of the actual church building. I’m looking around and countless people had bags in the chapel so I was confused. So I followed the security guard to where he was instructing me to put my tote bag and I left instead actually because I felt disgustingly disrespected and I doubt I would ever step foot in this church again Great group of people faithfully worshipping God in the Presbyterian tradition Wonderful Christmas and Easter services with beautiful and professional music. Sermons are very thought-provoking and delivered well. My favorite Christmas service this last year was the family service where parents and grandparents brought their littles without having to worry about perfect behavior. There were lots of little voices chiming in. Nobody minded. The Christmas story was read by children and families - so lovely! This seems like a very family-oriented church with many generations. Lots of young people too.
