Wonderful community, Christ-centered teaching, solid community groups, fantastic kids’ care & student programs. Very welcoming to families with babies (photo of the mothers’ room attached). Would totally recommend! A place where love can be felt, met in the eyes of community. A place of imperfect people that are looking at Jesus for hope and mercy. Been apart of this church for over 25 years, amazing love and ministry opportunities! Very welcoming church family without pressuring the attendees to tithe/donate. Tried it out this Sunday and I don't think I'll be back. The worship music was phenomenal and the sanctuary was all glitzy for sure... but not one single person went out of their way to welcome my family and me. Usually, I would not find that a big deal (I'm not thinking I'm so important that people should talk to me or anything) but I did find it a little off putting in this instance for two reasons. a) I went up to the connection table where two ladies were just talking to themselves. When I looked at a pamphlet for a beat too long one just said "Do you have any questions?" making me feel like I was inconveniencing them and 2) the whole sermon was put on by their connection director that day and it was about connecting with the community... which, in my opinion, it felt like they were failing at that. It just seemed very unfriendly to new people. This church and the experience I had going there gave me sense of joy I haven't had in years. I'll definitely be coming back next Sunday. I have finally found a church that felt like I have found what I was looking for. Wonderful music, inspiring sermon, and super nice people. I wish I had known about this church early. Thank you Summit church, you're the best!
