What visitors say
We were led to visit Athens Church, because our youngest daughter had a unique encounter with God during an outreach called the “Mix.” We were warmly welcomed from that very first visit! There was and is a genuine respect and reverence for God’s Word, a genuine desire to love people where they are, leading them into a growing and deepening relationship with Jesus and there is also a genuine humility among their leadership! It wasn’t long before our daughter found a place to grow and be discipled in their high school ministry Transit. My husband and I quickly signed up to join a small group and volunteer in WAMBA (their childrens ministry) it’s here that we found authentic relationships. Athens Church became home and has been now for almost 9 years now. I love what God has done for me through Athens Church 🩷 there are two locations so it’s easy to get to the service regardless of if you’re on the east or westside! The 9:15 am service is good if you have work and the 11 am service is nice if you want to sleep in some!! I take my daughter to UPSTREET and she loves it! I know God always leads me here because I always seem to hear exactly what I need!! Athens Church has been a wonderful place for our family. The atmosphere is welcoming for people of all ages, and the staff and volunteers go out of their way to make everyone feel at home. The messages each week are both inspiring and practical, offering real-life encouragement and meaningful takeaways. I drive 40 minutes to this Church every weekend and I can say proudly that Athens church has helped be grow in my faith tremendously. They truly care, and want the best for you. I am so thankful God brought me to this church! Athens Church gathers in large groups on Sundays, but encourages worship in small groups (vice long rows). There’s a group for everyone, in every age, & every stage of life. You’re invited & welcomed here!
