What visitors say
DANGER!! DANGER!! This is not a church, this is a life coaching program to help you feel better about yourself. Jesus is not the head of this “church”, you are. The center of the messages are not the word, the center is whatever the pastor decides the collection of talks is. They will not teach you the true word of God and the severity of the Gospel. But they will tell you how to feel better about yourself. Think I’m crazy? Go watch their “Welcome to our YouTube Channel” video. I encourage you to have discernment when it comes to finding a church. We need to be serious about the spread of the Gospel, and this organization will not push you to do that. If you have got this far test it for yourself. I would tell you to find a church where the pastor actually teaches the word line by line verse by verse book by book. Not a church where they are playing movies in service to give you some heart felt experience that has little to do with the word. Praying for whoever finds this. This up-and-coming church in the Brookhaven area is a really nice addition to the neighborhood. They are conveniently located and have amazing staff and volunteers assisting with their service experiences. Their pastors are also very chill and their socials leaves you wanting more. They're doing a great thing in the community and have already garnered a lot of influences with both believers and non-believers alike. We were visiting because we were in Atlanta for the weekend. Pastor Mayo Sowell is amazing. He has an incredible heart for God and for people. Those attending were very welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Definitely the place to be if you need an encounter with God, the pastors are teaching the true word of God. If you’re receptive, your spirit man will be fed. Service starts with praise and worship as the Holy Spirit moves through the congregation, preparing the hearts of those who are surrendered. I never leave the same way I came. I visited this church with my family hoping for a peaceful and spiritually grounded environment. Instead, we were met with disorganization, loud performance energy, and a lack of basic hospitality. I am visibly pregnant and arrived with my child and husband. Not one volunteer greeted or guided us. We waited outside the children’s area without acknowledgment, and had to initiate our own request for direction. The energy in the building felt chaotic — not joyful or reverent, but performative and unsettling. At one point, while speaking to someone, multiple people interrupted our conversation without so much as an ‘excuse me’ — and the person I was speaking to said nothing. The environment didn’t feel spiritually safe or sacred. To make matters worse, someone quietly disrespected my husband, and he chose not to confront it. That moment finalized the truth for me: this wasn’t a place rooted in honor. It provoked an argument and I collapsed because how emotionally dangerous. It was emotionally noisy, spiritually shallow, and more concerned with spectacle than presence.
