What visitors say
This wonderful visit to a church great singers and music very wholesome people I would visit again when I come back with my new family thank you with all the help .....very honest church that believes in family values no matter your race color or religion thank you Come worship with us wednesday at 7 pm and Sunday at 11:15 am. They told me they would assist me with $150 charity, and then renigged on their donation saying “no, we didn’t tell you we’d help” and to go “get it elsewhere”. I asked to speak to the pastor and the guy answering the phone said “I’m standing in for him”, no doubt shielding him when he needed to know the truth about how his flock are treating others with such unconcern and disrespect. These people are pretentious and uncaring about their fellow man (an elderly handicap vet), who’s gonna be homeless and who knowingly doesn’t even have money for food or gas or rent (etc). This is not how God intends for the hurt and the broken and truly needy to be treated. Shame on you! This has been my home church since 2000. I so miss my Bishop LD Skinner, Sr. He was a very well respected man of God in the community and throughout the city of Columbus, Georgia. He not only talked God's word, but he lived it everyday through practical living based on God's work. He loved people genuinely and care about their soul even more. When my son was 3 years old he said to me about Bishop after church one day, "mom, I want to go see Jesus." Bishop was affirmed in his full clergy and Bishop ensemble. Bishop was my spiritual father who not only taught me the word of god, the ways of God, and the will of God; but also taught me how to speak the truth and love and allow love to cover a multitude of sins. He will always be in my heart and on my mind. I thank God for over 20 years of sitting under his tutelage. The bread of Life Christian Center is still a place where the word of God is taught the love of God is evidence and the power of God is manifested to his glory! The ministry is now led by Bishop's eldest son, pastor D Skinner Jr. I encourage anyone who is hungry for God's word to go and feast spiritually on the food for champions, the bread of life! At Bread Of Life you are able to experience "God's" spirit in the room. Everyone is helpful and on one page. You can be yourself and feel at home here. You will receive fantastic sermons from Bishop & Pastor Skinner. Don't miss the opportunity to fellowship freely were it's all about God and his many blessings. And they have a nursery for the babies which are potty trained. Plus children's church for the little one's. This is a church that you "must experience" for yourself.
