My wife and I visited Cross Point Church for the first time yesterday while we were in town from Tennessee, and we had such a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and inviting. You could genuinely feel the warmth and kindness from the church family. One of the highlights of our visit was having the opportunity to meet Dr. James Merritt. He was so kind, friendly, and personable. He took time out of his day to speak with us, which meant a lot and made us feel truly welcomed as first-time visitors. We left feeling encouraged and blessed by our experience. Thank you to everyone at Cross Point Church for making us feel at home! This church truly lives out its mission of pointing people to Jesus and inspiring others to live a cross shaped life! From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the passion for Christ that fills this community. The next generation ministries are especially inspiring, as they do an incredible job of leading children and students to grow in their faith and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. What makes this church so special is the people. The sense of community is unmatched, and everyone is welcomed with open arms. Whether it's your first visit or you've been attending for years, you'll always feel valued, encouraged, and at home. I’m so grateful to be part of a church that genuinely practices what it preaches! I would not recommend this church to anyone looking for a welcoming and friendly church. From my experience, the atmosphere was not warm or inviting. Despite attending regularly, my family and I always felt like strangers and never truly experienced a sense of belonging within the church. The leadership team appeared unapproachable and lacked the warmth, humility, and genuine care that many people expect from church leaders. A church should be a place where people feel valued, supported, and encouraged in their faith journey. Unfortunately, I did not experience that here. Instead of fostering a sense of belonging, the environment felt distant and unwelcoming. Based on my experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider whether this church aligns with the values and fellowship they are seeking. Wonderful church. Our family has been going here for years. Would highly recommend to individuals and families looking for a new church to grow in. I’ve been a member of this church since my oldest was about 2 or 4 years old. When I first joined, I saw this church as loving and dedicated to the community. However, when I truly needed help, I was turned down. Later, I was told I could call again—only after they realized who I was. My oldest daughter, who is autistic, began to get bullied every time we attended service. The church was aware of her condition, and I mentioned it several times, yet nothing was done. Eventually, I started receiving strange looks myself, which made it even harder to attend. It’s been three years since I’ve been there, and during that time, no one has checked on us or reached out. It’s disappointing that the church shuts down reviews or avoids addressing real issues instead of providing real solutions. Also, there’s very little diversity within this church, which is something that really stands out. You won’t find me under this name, but my real name is in your system. I just hope this message brings awareness and encourages the church to reflect and do better for its members.
