I’ve been attending this church since I was small. Did both my communion and confirmation here. I don’t attend every Sunday but when I do it is always packed and they have back to back services. Because of this, most people arrive an hour early to get a seat but that is pretty inconvenient for most people (especially those with toddlers and babies). I don’t mind since I like the service but I understand the frustration. The main priest is great. I like how he is mindful of the Hispanic community and sometimes allows changes like having a band play the music for the coro. The new Father runs an unorganized mass. He had to ask to use the members phones to seek what scripture they should be on. Never once have I seen someone be kicked out of church until him. A place for acceptance, and someone is asked to leave and is humiliated in front of the congregation. Unacceptable. I came this day as one of my processes to regain faith, and instead, he proved to me why I had left the church in the first place. Ive been coming here since I was 8 and a I am 18 now best Catholic Church padre gigermo can Evan tell you Horrible speakers, cannot hear what anyone is saying who speaks into the microphone, due to the waterfall making so much noise and the speakers sound blown as well. The nun here humiliated me in front of mass and said that the outfit I was wearing should be worn at parties, even though I have never in my life been to a bar nor do I regularly go to parties, and I do not drink alcohol. I actually hate alcohol and have only had a sip once in my life. The outfit I was wearing wasn’t even scandalous. Unlike some of the women that I know that go here, go to parties on the regular, have vices, and dress way more scandalous, and who believe they are better than you and only hang out with others who measure up to their standards. Yet, I do not judge them (since judging is a sin) and yet the nun judged me, she is not practicing the TRUE word of God. Horrible, rude people here who are pretentious. I noticed a trend that fully Hispanic churches are very judgmental towards children of God. I will go to my perish instead who has a variety of catholic priest and you see every race at mass! Interestingly the place to find Peace Joy Community and something new to learn and the needed hope for thousands of human beings seekers.
