What visitors say

10/10 Must visit for an authentic worship experience… try it out you won’t be disappointed… some of the best things I can highlight is that Pastor Curney III will not dilute the word he will give you the full strength as it is written biblically.. the praise team is another favorite.. they are engaging and invite others to join in .. I can go on and on but as the word says: “taste and see that he is Good( psalms 34:8)…🫶🏽🙏🏾✝️💕 I started going to New Mercies In 2005 or 06 while living in Georgia, one of the greatest spiritual moves I have ever made. You feel welcome from the time you walk in and Pastor Curney truly is a Pastor Teacher if you don't get it you are not paying attention. I left Georgia in 2020,but I am online every week . God is definitely moving in New Mercies. Myra Reed Pastor gave an inspiring service about look and taste the word. Wonderful and friendly members. 😊 I Love the atmosphere. I volunteered here once years ago and I just never wrote a review because it wasn’t a thought. I still think about this experience I had when I volunteered at this church’s food drive, so this is the reason for posting this now. The person I was reporting to was very nice. It was the church goers who came out to volunteer gave me a hard time. When I was helping set up the tables and giving food to people in need, some women were gossiping about how I was trying to get attention and calling me Miss America, because I was helping while they just stood there doing nothing. I remember the pastor coming out and said “I guess today brought everyone out”, he was referring to me because he never seen me before. He introduced himself, and I tried to shake his hand, but he said they hug at that church, so he gave me a hug. (I wasn’t a church goer at this church; I just saw a posting for needing volunteers, hence why I was there). There was a lady, I guess she is a regular church goer, who was being ignorant; I remember an Asian man pulled up and I guess he didn’t understand what she was instructing, so he pulled up to get some food, the lady said “somebody go help the Chinese man, he’s doesn’t understand English” she looked at me and people laughed at me. There was a specific woman who was just rude to me, like she would stare at me and roll her eyes. I guess she got mad that I was helping people sort the vegetables from the large boxes; I assume one of the person’s in the group was her husband. I went to use the bathroom and that lady was staring me down, while she was sitting at a table with her husband and kids. While I was using the bathroom, the door handle jiggled. I stated someone is in here; the person didn’t stop jiggling the door handle and continue to force the door open. I, again, screamed someone is in here. The door handle still being jiggled and the door opened, wide opened, while I was on the toilet. I hurried to pull my pants up, washed my hands and go back outside. I didn’t see who did it, but I can speculate who. I went home and cried to my dad, because I didn’t expect to have a bad experience volunteering and helping people, especially at a church. I felt singled out and unwelcome. I wish I mentioned something to someone, at that time, but I was in shock with the overall experience; I couldn’t fathom it. An amazing church where God’s Word is preached with truth. The praise and worship are powerful and uplifting, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. The pastor genuinely cares he encourages unity, prayer, and personally greets everyone after service. Truly feels like home!
