If you’re into a church that has a pastor on a blurry screen rather than on the stage with you, this church is for you. Maybe we came on a bad weekend but our first time visiting, they had a special speaker who was more articulate than the pastor who was supposed to be leading the talk. God wasn’t even mentioned within the first 20 minutes of their talk and the talk was about 40 minutes long. I didn’t connect with the message at all and my 15 year old was literally falling asleep which she has never done at church before. Some other things I noted as a first timer: No coffee or refreshments for the community. I asked who I’m assuming is a volunteer because she had a name tag on and she said the coffee is only for volunteers but did offer to grab me a cup. She did also offer to walk us to the auditorium which was nice. No welcoming for first timers so it was very confusing where to park at this huge church and where to go in. We had to reach out to people for every answer we needed. It would’ve been nice to have an area first timers can go and get all the info. Overall, not super welcoming. Not engaging. Felt like a cattle in a herd. And it took 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot once the service was over. Will not attend again. Church is unique live sometimes they have remote Preacher. They have Christian Rock bands. They even have many programs for k-8, singles and newcomers. First Steps is a program that I really enjoyed learning more about the Bible and Christ. This is a friendly church family great worship including music as well as pastor. I love to attend a the Bible studies are amazing try one! Woodstock City Church is truly an amazing place to worship and grow. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by friendly faces and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately feels like home. The services are engaging and inspiring, with messages that are both relevant and deeply impactful. The music is excellent—uplifting and full of energy, creating a space that’s both joyful and reflective. There are great programs for kids and students, making it a wonderful place for families. The leadership and volunteers genuinely care about people, and it shows in everything they do. Whether you’re new to faith or looking for a church to call home, Woodstock City Church is an incredible community to be part of. Not happy attending a screening of Andy Stanley. I wish they would just change their time and have him drive to Woodstock to do the service there. Or better yet, have pastor Sameer actually run this church location.
