An amazing church that is real, living, serving, and working in the community bring the hands and feet of Jesus. Bringing the Word of God alive through sermons, small groups, and special events. Facility was nice and the congregation was kind and welcoming. However I felt like the pastor was preying off of his church. When I went there the whole service was about the importance of tithing and how you should give money to the church in order to receive material blessing from God. He also criticized paraphrasing the Bible while also using a modern translation of the Bible which felt like hypocrisy to me. I felt like the whole sermon was full of half truths geared toward convincing people to empty out their wallets. I feel like this is a church that preys upon broken lost people. Denomination wise, Hope City Church feels like a mix of prosperity gospel, Pentecostal, and your typical progressive church. I’ve been to over 20 different churches and would not recommend this place. A great community church that is welcoming of every lifestyle. They have a free for the public grill out on Fridays during summer as well as a food get together. Giving our community Faith in humanity, creating the feeling of togetherness and chosen family, the love radiating from the beautiful individuals giving their all to share life with others looking for guidance, a friend, even just warmth for a moment... hope city church is truly that. So happy to share time with yall,, don't know what I'd do without these folks.. restore is a beautiful thing, every Monday 5:30pm Free Dinner!! You never know what you'll find there, definitely lots of love, no judgement, and great people 🥰 Great church. Very spirit led. I love attending and gathering together with people who share a sincere love for our Lord Jesus Christ.
