Highland Baptist Church is undergoing a remarkable transformation with the installation of a new HVAC "Geothermal" green energy system. The intricate details in the window panes enhance the overall beauty, creating a breathtaking atmosphere. I eagerly anticipate witnessing the finished result, as I can only imagine how splendid weddings will be held in this picturesque setting. Highland Baptist Church is a gorgeous old vintage style church! The old stone and blue door made for amazing photos for my wedding! Inside the sanctuary, the organ, the wood beams from the ceiling, and the beautiful stain glass windows were breathtaking! Highland Baptist church is literally a church from my dreams and I am honored to have gotten married in it! I worked with Norma throughout the entire process. She was great the day of and very organized! I would recommend this church to anyone! This church is a wonderful welcoming and loving place to all people. Most churches depend upon the congregation (through the grace of God) to continue to operate. We don't grow wheat and sheep anymore. We are to give what we reap because it all comes from God in the first place. I thank God for the leaders here that are after God's own heart in trying to serve others. What a beautiful church family! As someone within the LGBT community I was hesitant to attend any church, but my experiences have been only of love and acceptance. And for those who are thinking that inclusivity means a watered down gospel, I heard more about Jesus and more scripture in one service than in other non-inclusive churches. My mother was born into a Baptist home but when she married my dad, she became a member of the Disciples of Christ. I was raised in that Christian Church setting and ordained as a minister in it. I came to Highland on the invitation of Troy Burden. It’s a beautiful place. Not the building, although it is beautiful. It is just an indescribable experience. In the midst of Covid and living in Cincinnati, I once again worship with you every week and it is truly an experience of “The Holy”. Thank you to all who work hard to do what Jesus would have us do for “The Other” and each other.
