Ever since my family and I started going we’ve felt welcomed and have learned just as would have at our other Church before it closed and we started coming here. We are really thankful and give thanks to God. Incredible place of worship! Southeast is as large as you want it to be and as small as you need it to be. Sermons are always biblically based and delivered with such genuine love. The pastors present the message with remarkable skill and effectiveness. If you're thinking this church is too large, it's not...just give it a few weeks to see for yourself. Join a group and find your crew! There are a whole lot of groups...you're sure to find one that fits you. God has certainly blessed this church...come find out why. An amazing church with amazing people. This church has helped me I times of depression and growth. I would not be there I am today if it wasn’t for this church. It’s large, that’s no question, but it feels a lot smaller when your inside and start getting to know the people. Grateful for this church. The people here are wonderful. The wide variety of groups make it accessible and welcoming to all walks of life. I never expected to leave a one-star review for my own church, but after my experience tonight I feel it’s important to share honestly. During the service, the church openly shamed transgender people while simultaneously preaching that there is no shame before God. The sermon referenced Genesis to justify this message, while ignoring other parts of scripture such as Galatians 3:28: “There is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” The contradiction between the message of unconditional love and the tone used toward a marginalized group was deeply troubling. I had been seriously considering becoming a member of this church and volunteering my time through community service. Unfortunately, after hearing that message tonight, I can no longer feel comfortable doing so. Church communities are meant to reflect compassion, humility, and care for all people. When the message preached does not match those values, it pushes people away rather than bringing them closer. This kind of contradiction is also why many younger generations are leaving churches. When a community claims that God’s love is open to all, but speaks in ways that exclude or shame others, people notice. I sincerely hope the leadership reflects on how their words affect the people listening.
