What truly sets this church apart is the love and support shown during my husband’s cancer fight. We were surrounded by prayers and encouragement in some of our hardest moments. The leadership and congregation walked alongside my family with genuine love and care, reminding us we were never alone. It’s a place where people of all backgrounds are accepted, supported, and encouraged to grow in their faith. The leadership is caring and approachable, and the congregation feels like family. I’m deeply grateful to be part of this church! The people of Independence Hill are friendly, welcoming, and down to earth authentic. The church is multigenerational with lots of opportunities to connect and grow in faith. From the nursery to kid’s and student ministries to our JOY Group, there is a place for you. There’s a long history of this church building homes, for those in need, and constructing actual church buildings. IHBC even built Angels and Sparrows. You are always welcome! I have been part of the church family for 14 years now. I originally found them on Google after moving from out of state and, from my first visit, I felt like I was home. This is where I turned my life over to God and was baptized. These people have a heart for God and will welcome you in with open arms. They have a huge worship space and a lot of activities and missions going on. There is a family room where you can watch service if you need a space for privacy or with kids for a moment. There is a nursery with wonderful volunteers staffed in it if you have kids and they want to play during service. All kids are also more than welcome in the service if that’s where they want to be. They have amazing small groups and a place for everyone. Youth, children, young and old! Everyone loves on my family as if they are their own. In addition to all of the great things, there is a wonderful preschool. Every teacher here is amazing and the structure they have as well as the group of kids is everything you could want in a preschool. I cannot recommend this community of Jesus lovers more! As a lifetime member of IHBC, my husband & I recently returned after being away for about 5 years due to a move. I felt God calling us back - not only to support the church financially & through service , but also because I knew it would be a comforting place for my husband. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s & Alzheimer’s in 2020 and when we came back, it was clear we were right where we needed to be. He was warmly welcomed by familiar faces & seeing his face light up as he returned “home” meant everything. IHBC truly welcomes ALL people and invites you to “come as you are”. It’s a wonderful place to raise your children, grow spiritually, and be encouraged by fellow believers. We invite you to come visit and experience it for yourself! Love this church. Such caring and special staff and congregation. So welcoming and supportive. Could not be more supportive of their community
