I have been going to this church for over 20 years. The staff are amazing, caring, helpful people. My kids enjoy church, not just attend because we do. We are all God's people, sharing and spreading his love and message of absolute hope through Him. We have been at Journey for 5 years and love it. We love the fact that our church does not sugar coat the Scriptures but teaches them clearly with humility and compassion and humor. Pastor Matt does a great job at keeping the congregation engaged, growing, and laughing with sermons that are applicable to our lives and filled with the Bible. Questions and being anywhere on your faith journey are welcome & encouraged. There is an amazing children’s & youth ministry where the leaders know families by name and love you. When our family went through a hard time, the church surrounded us with meals, prayers, and encouragement! I also love the church’s heart for outreach in the community and globally. The best way to get plugged in to our church is definitely through finding a place to serve and a small group to join. We love our Journey family. I’ve called Journey Church “home” since 2010. I met my wife there. Got married there. And our now almost 5 year old daughter loves KidStreet (the small children programs) and cannot wait for Sunday to roll around. I’ve had so many wonderful moments at Journey. I’ve met some of my best friends at this church. Over all, Journey Church’s heart is to humbly point everyone to absolute hope. That hope is Jesus. We’d love to have you at Journey. I had been searching for a church since I moved into the area. My first visit I was welcomed right in. Greeters are very friendly and welcoming, service is fantastic. This church is very grounded, biblical based. Worship is casual, come as you are. Pastor Matt is a great pastor and teacher. I've been very blessed to find this church and I look forward to going! Sorry I haven’t been to your church but I live in Newland and work at the Ingles’s up here in Newland and noticed that you guys sponsored for the SWEET T AND ROOSTER BBQ who came and set up in the parking lot
