What visitors say
Popped into St. Patrick's on a recent weekday afternoon, just trying to get a moment of quiet away from the Midtown bustle. Honestly, it's wild how much the city just melts away the second you step inside. The sheer scale of the place is impressive, with those huge arches and the way the light filters through the stained glass is really something. I spent a good chunk of time just looking up at the ceiling and taking in the details; it feels like you could spend hours just noticing new things. What really made the visit smooth, though, was how straightforward it was to just walk in and explore without any fuss. I particularly appreciated how easy it was to find a spot to just sit and be still for a bit, and the staff I encountered were just there, unobtrusively helping people find their way or answering quick questions. It's a place that really offers a chance to reset before diving back into everything else NYC throws at you. My daughter and I used to go to the Lower East Side Fellowship church in Manhattan. My brother in law Joseph Maldonado was the Pastor and he was the best Pastor I've ever met. When he pasted away we became so depressed, because his Legacy died with him. LESF is no longer around. The person that took over the church is a wolf in sheep's clothing, (All in Church). Brooklyn Church is exactly how my brother in law Pastor Joe started out 15 years ago. Jesus led my daughter to Brooklyn Church, because she prayed on it. She asked Jesus to lead her in the right direction. She went 3 times before telling me, only because she wanted to get to know the pastor and people of the church. When she took me to Brooklyn Church, I felt so at home the moment I walked in. When I tell you Jesus works through Pastor Alan. I couldn't be more happier from the first day at Brooklyn Church. There are no wolves in this church, just people of God coming together to worship our only Lord, Savior, and King, Jesus Christ 🙌 🙌 ❤️ Brooklyn Church meets at 1030am on Sundays at PS32 on Union and Hoyt. There is no perfect church as every one is filled with imperfect humans. But, Brooklyn Church is refreshing because they aren't out to wow you or sell you some prosperity gospel. They simply love God and love others. Exactly as Jesus commanded. It has been such a gift to get to know some of the team at Brooklyn Church. I am so grateful that they are in the community as examples of how Jesus cared for people no matter their background or circumstances. I would highly recommend this church as a sanctuary and place to meet others seeking to share God's love and grace. Alan has such a big heart for the community and is faithful to bring the word verse by verse and let it be used how God wants to use it. So grateful for having got to experience what you are doing over there
