Beautiful church and lovely atmosphere. My great-uncle Ralph Sockman designed the church to welcome Christians of all denominations. In this United Methodist Church, you will find elements of Catholic, Orthodox and Byzantine architecture. I was able to light a candle for my daughter, with the thought of being in the constant state of prayer. Beautifully freshly restored.. if you're anywhere near Park&60th, stick your head in. OR come on a Sunday to worship (I'm guessing. I went for Ash Wednesday service! The church itself is beautiful and the mass was absolutely enriching. I would go again ! May God bless us all 🙏 On 5/1/25 I was in desperate need of using the restroom. I went to a place that I thought was safe and would welcome me with open arms. However , upon my entrance into the church I kindly asked an employee sitting by the door to direct me to the restroom. He stated that the church does not have one. I was appalled by his response in the house of the lord. I pray that he does not do this to another individual who is in need. I attend an AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meeting here called The Atlantic Group, which is the sister meeting to The Pacific Group of California, going on 7 years or so. The interior of this Church is stunning, beautiful, awesome and amazing! Literally and all at the same time! One of the largest AA meetings in New York. I have not attended mass here yet, but the Church is very accommodating to our meetings, which number in the hundreds of members. I recommend visiting this Church for it's beauty and I'm sure Mass here is just as fulfilling.
