Welcoming and transformative community. CPC’s commitment to peace, justice, and inclusion is lived out in meaningful ways, not just talked about. LGBTQIA+ individuals and families are fully embraced, and the atmosphere is one of compassion, curiosity, and deep respect. The preaching is thoughtful, the community is engaged, and there’s a real sense of belonging. If you’re looking for a church that practices love in action and works for justice in the world, this is a wonderful place to be. City Peace Church is a welcoming and inclusive church bringing healing and hope to our local community and beyond. We strive to show our love for each other and our neighbors through our actions for justice and peace. Everyone is invited to the table. City Peace is an LGBTQ+ affirming faith community that really shows up and invests in what they say they believe. They partner with the educational nonprofit @weImagineCincinnati to host Thursday morning playgroups for families in the neighborhood and host twice monthly community meals and a food pantry. Services are every Sunday at 10:30 with a nursery and lots of outdoor play and neutral, welcoming spaces for kids. They show up for social justice actions and interfaith initiatives in the city. If you are looking for a faith community rooted in justice and peacemaking, check out this congregation with a new name but a strong 50 year history of serving refugees, unhoused, and vulnerable neighbors in Oakley, with a love for nature and kids. I appreciate how committed the church is to serving the community and bringing healing and hope to the world. Events like the twice monthly community meal and commitment to supporting refugees locally show that this congregation doesn’t just talk about faith, but puts it into action. It’s a place where you can grow spiritually, build lasting relationships, and make a real difference. City Peace Church is a kind of refuge during this challenging time in our nation. The emphasis on loving your neighbor and focusing on people in need in both the US and around the world provides a kind of healing. Great sermons. Inclusive and sophisticated world view.
