I love River! I have grown so much and found the sweetest college faith community here. The pastors are wonderful, honest, and dedicated leaders and it’s a great church home. It’s been an answered prayer for me!!! I’m a college student who has been going to River for 2.5 years now. River church is a Bible believing church whose members live out the love of Jesus. I’m not from Norman, but immediately got plugged in with River students and family, so I feel like I’ve grown up here! I'm not from this town my real name is Alex Holton I slept under a tree in the between the parking lots at this church is I was riding around and I helped the lady that had a broken hip clear her yard stuff from the storm damage and I was too tired to go anywhere else I had rode my bike to make it to my probation office here in Norman I don't know the area after I help the lady clear her yard I was so tired I couldn't ride my bike any further and going through the neighborhood this church came into view River Church I slept under a tree in between the two parking lots I noticed they also were clearing trees because they're stacked up in the parking lot I'm driving some water and I was able to charge my phone so that I can use my maps to know my direction not knowing where I'm at I want to thank River Church for for not bother me and allow me to charge my phone and stuff God bless this church the families that are involved the people that are involved in the community that is involved God bless this community as well thank you River Church and I did not leave a mess I threw all my trash away LOL thank you again River Church I visited river church my freshman year of college when looking for a church. When I visited river church I felt welcome as soon as walking in their doors. I was looking for a place to grow in my faith with god, and find community and river has given me that and more. I am so thankful for river church and the community that I am surrounded by. My daughter is going to OU but far away from her home in California, as well as her church family. I am so happy Hannah found her church home while attending college in Oklahoma. This Mama is comforted to know she will be surrounded by supportive Christian friends/church family at River and given firm biblical teachings rooted in Scripture.
