I don't ever leave reviews but I attended this church this morning at the 10am service. Let me just say very bizarre place. Felt cult like. They listen to a pastor on the teleprompter screens, it's weird. The pastor said in his message this morning the Bible wasn't written for us....I should have walked out right then and there. Majority of the congregation seem like robots. I've never felt this uncomfortable in a place of worship before. Too each their own I guess though. I felt convicted on sharing my experience. We love the intimate atmosphere here at South. After being long time members at the main campus However, I wish the worship had not changed as of late. It's more of a production. Not intimate, it prevents a true worship experience. It's there a way we can alternate between the two? As a mom, I needed to find a place my kids love as much as I do. This church has that. The first Sunday my kids walked in they were greeted by high fives and excitement. When church was over my kids not only earned a lot about the Bible but they said “when can we come back mom?” Not only does this church help my kids but it helps me as a mom get refreshed. The people here truly care about people. I don’t have to dress fancy or be something I’m not. I’m allowed to be me. It’s the perfect place for imperfect people like me. The praise and worship is amazing and the preaching helps me grow and keeps me engaged. If you are looking for a place to call home you’ve found it. Just try it. You won’t be sorry. This place is home. I feel welcomed every week by the parking crew, hello team, coffee bar...then on to incredible worship. The message is so on point every week and feeds my soul. Our young children Love going every week and always surprise me with a new song or verse. The nursery is amazingly warm and I know my baby is getting the best care and is loved on for her stay! I whole heartedly recommend the church at South Tulsa for anyone looking for a new place to worship! Unfortunately I was not there to attend services this time. Hopefully I will be able to visit and attend services one day. My car broke and we had to pull off into the church parking. Why we waited for assistance we took a walk of the grounds. They were well kept and it felt very peaceful their. In fact me & my boyfriend were arguing at the time. But he grabbed my hand and said let's take a walk. Something he never does anymore. I definitely felt God's love and presence just walking the grounds of your church. So I can only imagine what the services are like. 😊 Thank you for letting us wonder the grounds of your church, God bless.
