What a blessing mountain park church is. Mary I appreciate you for listening, caring and sharing during our troubled times. I'm so thankful to the staff for coming up with a plan and sharing it with pastor Greg. I pray God keeps His anointing on you all. #1 church that shows compassion & you can feel it again thank you all in Jesus name amen 🙏 A few years ago I attended the Easter sermon at Mountain Park. I was planning to meet some family there, and I was running a little late, so by the time I entered the sanctuary the service had already started. I was greeted by a friendly older lady at the front. I then walked over to one of the tables off to the side and sat by myself because the pews seemed to be full. The woman that greeted me at the front walked over and sat next to me. She then quietly asked me if this was my first time here, and I said yes. Then, she asked me if I was Jewish. It was such an odd question, it completely caught me by surprise. I said "No." I have been Christian all my life. It was such an odd and inappropriate thing to say to someone that you don't even know. I felt really uncomfortable and confused. After that, she said I was "very handsome". At this point I became so creeped out and upset that I stopped talking to her, hoping she would just leave. I have never had a more inappropriate and more uncomfortable experience in my life at a Church. It was my first and only time at Mountain Park Church. I wish I would have left this review right after it happened, but I wanted to let it go. Every Easter I have thought about this strange interaction, so I thought I should let everyone know. Fantastic gym space for volleyball! My brother was sickand dying in hospital, i asked the church to have the pastor come be with me at the hospital(i grew up in this church, PASTOR Westgate married us) when they took my brother off life support, he also attend this "church". NO ONE CAME TO BE BY HIS SIDE WHEN I ASKED FOR HELP. CHRIST is not in this church. I suggest you find another one. One where Christ actually is. MPC is a warm, family centered church where we strive to love each other as Jesus taught and modeled. Gregg, our pastor, is an outstanding teacher and friend.
