My family and I love Grace Presbyterian Church! It gives us a sense of community, and I feel good raising my kids beside others who share our values of treating everyone with the kindness and equality we all deserve. Everyone is supportive, welcoming and caring. Since joining the church, I have grown in my faith and learned so much from so many different people. The music in the worship service is joyful and moving; the sermons leave me thinking about how to apply Jesus’ teachings to my life today; the kids programming is full of energy. I especially enjoy the discussion in our diversity/equity/inclusion/justice and immigration advocates groups - hearing perspectives from others challenges me to think about how to be a supportive ally to others who are different from me. I haven’t attended services at Grace Presbyterian in quite some time, but I do visit the campus for the annual yard sale, special events, and voting. Even from those interactions, I have not felt the warmth, steadiness, or welcoming atmosphere I look for in a spiritual community. I believe churches should reflect clarity, kindness, and integrity, and I did not experience that here. I hope the leadership will consider how their choices affect families and those seeking a peaceful place to worship. Grace is a place where I hear about the endless love of God, where I am instructed to love my neighbors (ALL my neighbors) and where I am presented with opportunities to serve those neighbors. In this crazy world, Grace is indeed a beacon of hope and a place full of love! There is a gay pride flag on the front of this churches door anyone who knows and follows the word of God knows this isn’t of God when I first seen it I was shocked I asked a worker there if it was what I thought it was and she said yes there is a woman pastor there as well which goes against the word of God maby that’s why the tolerance of the gay flag this is not of God anyone who sends there children there and worships there do you not read your Bible ? We love Grace Preschool! The teachers are the sweetest! They treat the kids with so much kindness and love. My son loves it there so much! He’s so engaged and learning something new everyday! Highly recommended!!
