I have been in The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) my whole life, and a member of congregations in numerous states. This local congregation is the most kind, loving, and accepting of any I have had the pleasure of being "church" alongside. This church is open to all--literally. When some signs read "All are welcome" and there's a "but" that comes once you've actually set foot inside... the theology of this church and the welcome of its people truly is home for all. The sermon given for my uncle's funeral was inappropriate at best. The scene she described while he laid on his death bed was beyond upsetting. I felt sorry for her husband, and I'm enraged for my aunt. The touching she described was pornographic. Parts of what she said were nice, but the way she spoke about that time with him was wildly out of hand. Touching, "dancing", it was vulgar. I cannot believe a woman of God would speak that way about a happily married man, he was on so many pain killers he probably didn't even know who she was. What she did took advantage of man no longer in control of his facilities. It's a clean church. I go to a 12 step meeting there. Peaceful Great place
