This place has hurt or betrayed a lot of people who once gave their all to this place. Still a lot of good people there. But it’s a repeated pattern that’s gone on through the lifetime of the church. Sad thing is, I guarantee you they think they’ve done nothing wrong. Guys… look at the fruit. I am not able to attend often, I watch it on TV. I’m so thankful for the fact that I can watch church. One of my favorite things about visiting my friends in Nashville is getting to go to church at Grace Center. The Lord is always on the move and the people are passionate about Jesus. I injured my knee hiking several years back and had tremendous pain for a couple of weeks. Someone on the prayer team prayed for my knee and in an instant the Lord healed it. It has a special place in my heart for that alone. 10/10 would recommend. I thought that Grace Center was our church home family after Heidi Baker came to visit. GC was there for us after my grandmother passed in May'23. We had 3 children in diapers and more responsibility than we could well manage. We asked for childcare support in many ways, none was available. Our nearest family lived 420 mi away. This led to much frustration, exhaustion and critical attitudes in our marriage. Our GC small group is very spirit-filled and wonderful. Then, in October our 7 month old baby passed away in his sleep. And we needed prayer and support, nothing too demanding. Instead, "church leadership" informs our wonderful small group leader that I am "dismissed" bc I have more problems than the church "can provide help with"...🤨 And this is a church that "denies themselves, takes up their cross daily and follows Jesus" correct? Luke 9:23 Our group leader was devastated being forced to dismiss me from the group (under pressure from leadership he said) and that I am "too much of a burden for the church". I do have a lot of enemies who have gossipped about me: former tenants and in-laws especially, who love to complain and judge rather than forgive. I am a servant of the gospel, sharing Jesus daily for my full-time driving job and my father was an ordained minister for 42 years. But, I would appreciate a call from church leadership so I can explain "that I am not too much to deal with" and hopefully we can cover our family in prayer instead of separating the family of God apart during tragedy when supporting each other is most important. I love my wife and I need to humble myself to her at the right time and ask her forgiveness for hurting her feelings in our marriage. GC Church and Pastor Jeff are 5 star people. Leadership gets 1 star. I hope we can be reconciled in the future. I am praying for GC. This church body truly just wants more of God and wants to do what He commissioned us to do here on earth. The staff and volunteers are genuine and warm. There are plenty of options for church services, conferences, and a consistently rotating Wednesday evening class. Theres a sweet Café to mingle inside or just grab a cup to bring to early morning service. The new children’s wing is a dream! With a quality check in and check out system your kids will be safe and will enjoy the creatively designed rooms and play structure. I love calling this place my home.
