I am not shocked to know I was not the only believer rejected of being baptized in the name of Jesus because in their eyes I was a “sinner” living with my fiance before actually being married by the court of law. My new church in Cedar Hill named Trinity Church, welcomed me and my family with open arms and open hearts without judgment and sent all of 4 us (Husband, me and 2 children) an INVITATION to be baptized without a QUESTIONNAIRE nor an interrogation!! I’ve come to realize Watermark is not truly the welcoming, loving church they claim to be. They make it about their rules and qualifications instead of our One on One personal relationship with our Savior Jesus. Who are they to tell me I can’t be baptized because I am living in sin? Honestly not a place I would tend to leave a review but was in town for work and stopped here often as it was in close proximity. Beautiful well cared for grounds and architecture. Great work space and coffee shop. From staff to what they do I was all pleasant to surprised. If it’s not your thing don’t worry but worth a peak for sure! Cheers !! I enjoy this church a lot. Most of the pastors and what they teach are great; they make things understandable, relatable, and enjoyable. However, I wish there were fewer arrogant people and staff, but people like that are everywhere. But overall it’s a great place to learn and grow in faith as a Christian. My wife and I visited while we were in Dallas and we enjoyed worshiping God here. The Gospel was preached and I enjoyed hearing it. We spoke with someone at the welcome desk, but unfortunately I do not remember his name. He was very helpful and answered so many questions. This is likely to be our home church when we move to Dallas next summer. Yes, it's a mega church, BUT I always feel welcome. Their leadership is refreshing and God honoring; their messages will challenge you and encourage you; and their worship is Christ centered. They have a connect center where you can get plugged into a small group and find community. They also have a ministry for young adults called The Porch that meets every Tuesday night at 7pm. They have a small "coffee shop" that's open throughout the week in the main lobby. Great place to hang out.
