Since of the nicest people you will meet and a beautiful, newly renovated church! Great things happening here! Terrible neighbors they destroyed the neighborhood. They park all over the neighbors houses and they light up a 50 block radius with their lights at night for a parking lot. They use once a week during the day. City Church is such a beautiful, welcoming, and accepting church. The community is full of strong believers and people struggling with doubt. There is no shame in or expectations of where you are in your faith when you walk in the doors, all are welcome to explore Gods word together 🙏🏻 I can’t say enough great things about City Church! My fiancé and I both grew up in different denominations and have found a church home that we both love. He had been going to church here for a while before I joined but I immediately felt welcomed. People took a genuine interest in getting to know me and supported me and it’s amazing to see the community we’ve developed already. It’s a diverse, engaged, genuine group of people from all walks of life. The two Pastors are awesome people, when they preach you can’t help but be engaged, and it challenges you in the best ways. The ministry partners and opportunities for service are unique and so great for the city. There are so many ways to get involved and be engaged- city groups, men and women’s focus groups, volunteering, etc. and this is what allowed us to meet so many people and really find a home. City Church has become the thing that makes Houston feel like home and I encourage anyone looking for a church home to give it a try! No matter where you are in life or in your faith, there are so many people at City Church that would love to meet you and welcome you in. The first time we visited First Church Heights we were blown away by the Holy Spirit in this church. The love was so thick in the room it was beautiful. The Pastor embrace us as visitors and yhe members mad us feel like family. The teachings are directly from scripture. No phony business here. The church is so clean, orderly and functions like a the scriptures say. I can go on and on for hours 😁 Lets just say we became disciples of the church the next visit and we are Battle Ready for Christ! We love it here! First Church Heights is our home away from home.
