This is not a church, it is a ministry. Communion is rare (Christmas, Easter), and there is no baptism here. The Sunday service feels irreverent, more like what a weekday service should be, not the Sabbath. Everyone here is very nice, but this is not what I'm looking for. I've gone several times, and they have this saying: " be long before you believe" that makes me feel comfortable there. We've also gone 21 of their bible study groups many times and we love the people there. Sometimes we have brought our kids to the midweek events, and they seem to have a good time, although they serve lots of sugar so if that's not your thing, beware! Just moved to Utah and thankful to have a theologically sound church local to the area. Great teaching, quality worship and overall friendly and inviting environment. I love SMCC! They say "belong before you believe" and I truly feel that they provide this type of environment for people to grow, learn and ask questions along the way. The messages are 100% Bible based and are taught in a way to help you apply them to your daily life. Incredibly friendly people here with messages of Christian faith shared during sermons. The live music is loud, but touching and powerful.
