I can’t say enough good things about this church. It’s such a great small, local community where you genuinely feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. Pastor Jordan DeMerchant is truly incredible. He has a way of making every single person feel like they’re his best friend. He’s not only deeply knowledgeable, but also incredibly approachable, down-to-earth, and genuinely invested in the people around him. What really stands out is how involved he and his entire family are. You can tell this isn’t just something they do - it’s who they are. That level of care and authenticity carries throughout the whole church. Everyone is kind, supportive, and always willing to pray with you or step in to help however they can. The church also does an amazing job supporting its members through difficult times. There’s a real sense of community here. People show up for each other in meaningful ways. Sunday services are consistently excellent. Pastor Jordan keeps things casual and engaging, while staying grounded in teaching Scripture and delivering practical, meaningful lessons from the Bible. And it definitely doesn’t hurt that he’s extremely funny. Jordan brings a lot of joy and energy to every message. If you’re looking for a small local northern Virginia church where you’ll feel known, supported, and spiritually encouraged, this is truly a special place. I am truly blessed to have found this church with my fiancé and we are so lucky to be apart of this strong community! We love the pastor and his family, and the focus of the church, “Love God and Love People!” From the worship to the preaching to the kids’ ministry to the small groups, we’ve found our community! The focus is on growing in our dependence on God and on looking for a way to serve others with the love of Christ. Great community - you’ll find a home here! I came to New Life and wow has it been a change in our lives. We have found a beautiful community that has welcomed us and surround us with so much love. Lots of small groups to learn about God's word and meet new people. Activities and programs for kids. Sisterhood etc. Our Pastor Jordan is super welcoming , approachable and friendly and a big part on why NEW LIFE feels like home. I visited with my kids while we were in town and loved this place. Everyone was super welcoming, and I didn’t feel judged being on my own with 2 kids. The pastor Jordan seemed really down to earth too. The kids enjoyed their time, and I loved seeing a huge representation of different age groups and cultures. Wish I had a church like this back home This is an incredibly welcoming church community with many opportunities to get connected to other believers. I have also enjoyed the biblical sermons and focused worship music. Their mission is clear and lived out well: Love God. Love People.
