What visitors say

Hello, this is the most RACIST church I have ever been to! DO NOT ATTEND. (I am a black women). I was going to church with My friend/roommate who was also worshiping on stage. Which meant she had to get there much earlier than me, so I ended up meeting her there instead. We also both had to be moved out of our apartments that morning. Which meant her car was packed with her stuff and I had my suitcase with me because I was catching a flight that day. Before I got there, I called her and asked if she could leave her car door unlocked so I could put my suitcase in her car before I walked into the service. As my Uber dropped me off, I went straight to my roommate's car and noticed this older man circling around the church like some form of "security" and was constantly staring at me. I did not think anything of it at the time and proceeded to put my luggage in her car. A little bit later he finally walked over to me and asked me a bunch of questions. "Is this your car?" "The license plate says..." "What are you doing?" (Another man who works there also kept staring at me and asked me questions as well). I answered their questions, but they were not convinced, and the old man proceeded to walk over to me. He then said "so, if you went inside your friend would know you were coming?" I said "yes?" He just proceeded to stand there until I went inside. I said I needed to go to the driver's side to get something out of my bag and then he followed me all the way to the driver's seat and watched me intently as I got my stuff out. Then he kept yapping, but I tuned out. He escorted me to the church entrance doors and made sure I went inside, but I sat outside instead. I felt so uncomfortable and out of place and no one should ever have to feel like that in a house of God. A little bit later a white person showed up late, but he did not talk to them or escort them to the service. Then a black woman shows up a little bit later, he sees her in the parking lot and proceeds to escort her to the door. Hell no, I was not going to stay anymore so I called an Uber and waited at my friend's car for it. While I was waiting for my Uber I saw him, the other guy who was asking me questions and a random guy, staring at me, and talking about me. So like I said, it is a terrible church do not attend!!! Literally so disgusting. The people were somewhat friendly. The music for worship seemed more like entertainment than worship. They do a communion each week. The problem with this is there was no real explanation to what the communion stands for, it was not done with prayer, and it was not really done as a community. This was a very weak way to do what should be a very meaningful part of the service. The pastor holds a seminary degree but shows a lot of need for improvement. His message was on 1 Peter 3:18-20. He started off by stating that this is one of those verses in the bible that leaves you wondering what God intended to say. He then gave us 4 possible understandings for these verses. His points were weak and left us wondering why he even preached on this topic. His number one view seemed to support that those in prison were the fallen angels mentioned in Genesis chapter 6. I disagree with the concept that the Nephilim were angelic beings. I would not recommend this church based off of my visit today. We have been Members for 4 years,Straight from the bible preaching and teaching, Understanding Gods Grace and how he Loves and forgives.Very Friendly, Welcoming, and Loving Church Members I encourage visitor's to attend a bible study class after service, best way to get to know the people and feel the warmth of it's members. There are many different groups to get involved with for the young and elderly. It seems hard in this society to find a church that actually preaches the word of God and actually requests you personally to get into the word. This church after looking for months is someplace we intend on calling home. The bible studies right after church dive deep into the word of the Lord. You can and will grow in Christ here. Joshua 1:8. Keep this book of the law always on your lips. Meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. This is an elder-led church full of Bible-believing Christians and the Pastor is highly educated, but very down-to-earth. Warm, friendly people you will love. You will also love the music.
