I bought a ticket for Mother's Day Brunch. Having been to many similarly advertised events, I thought it would be very low key. The music was much too loud, to the point that my party, an elderly woman and a young child, wouldn't even go in the restaurant. Additionally, the description of the event did not mention it would be held in a banquet hall with communal tables. Genesis Church was not understanding and refused to issue a refund. I don't think it's ethical not to refund a customer whose expectations were aligned with the advertising of the event. Take a look at the photo of the advertisement. On your phone, would you even know the event was being thrown by a church and not the restaurant? The event's affiliation was also not listed in the description: "Welcome to the Mother's Day Jazz Brunch Celebration! Come join us at Smith's Landing Seafood Grill for a delightful afternoon of delicious food, live jazz music, and celebrating the special mothers in our lives. Treat your mom to a fantastic brunch experience filled with tasty dishes and soulful tunes. This event is the perfect way to show your appreciation and spend quality time with your loved ones. Don't miss out on this opportunity to create lasting memories on Mother's Day!" My experience of Genesis Church was so amazing. I walked in as a visitor and joined the very same day the Holy Spirit open my ears to the word that was being sermon this particular Sunday morning and is the best word I’ve heard in years and this is what my spirit was thirsty and hungry for and I knew at that moment I belong to Genesis and I have since made it my church home. Praise God.🙏🏽🙏🏽 This Church is filled with God's words, grace & wisdom. They are very community oriented and are changing (enhancing) the lives of so many. Don't take my word come and see for yourself Very open and welcoming to all races and nationality Beautiful church that does a lot of work for the community I love the fellowship of this church they are my family
