Concert at the church was AMAZING! The parking lot was not free, a man demanded $15. This seems to be an ongoing situation. But every thing rose is nice and very clean! LGBTQ The performances were AMAZING! In the evening of Dec. 21st, 2025, I was here for a Voices of Music performance. Parked at the church parking lot, approached by a person demanding 10 dollars for parking. The person had no credentials, and when I was trying to scan the QR code on the parking stall, the person started yelling, "I am here, you pay me. If you don't like it, you can leave." The person was quite agitated, and out of safety concerns, I left. I hope that troubled person is not affiliated with the church. The Telegraph Channing Garage charges 4 dollars flat rate for evenings, which is one block away. I love this church! This place of worship welcomes the full participation of every sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, race, nationality, ability, and age in worship. 🌈 This community loves Jesus, but is also open to those who are spiritually curious or questioning their faith. They are also deeply involved in the community and social justice efforts (anti-racism work, hunger programs, environmental justice, etc.) Service is at 10 am (in-person and live-streamed), and they have communion on the first Sunday of the month (open to all). I can't recommend this church enough! Love the space. I was privileged to see Alice Walker and Angela Davis there...I'm still star struck!!😍 This is a fine venue for musical performances, with nice acoustics and seat layout. Every seat but those in the back of the balcony is a good one. It competes with two truly excellent venues for the affections of Cal Performances concert-goers, so is rarely considered a favorite, but it is a great place to see a concert.
