Can't express my gratitude enough to God for leading me to Highlands. Never imagined a church like this was out there...and I'm not talking about the building (even though that in and of itself is gorgeous with the stained glass in the morning and the lights out front at nighttime). The people, the church body, here are so united in love for Christ and each other. He provided such a heart for the gospel and a heart for hospitality here unlike any church I've ever attended. Very much recommend at least visiting, if the Lord put it on your heart and mind to! This church is incredible. The husband and wife leading are kind, humble, smart, and full of integrity. The worship is sincere and the community is relatable and committed to building lasting friendships. Highly recommend, our family of 4 loves it and their kids program is amazing! Our family started attending FBCLC in 1967,so my fond memories are many and go way back in time. We have always had a solid foundation in the Lord, our rock, and sermons accurately based on His Word. We have always supported many missionaries, many of them having come from our own flock, so it is considered important to reach people in other lands as well as in our own community with the good news of Jesus Christ and His salvation. We are a loving congregation who care and look after one another. My "Christian Family" is a major part of my life. We have groups and programs to meet most every need. Our Pastor Bill spends much time preparing his good Bible-based sermons and is very active in our community. Try us, I'm sure you will like us, as many of our newcomers have discovered! This church has been a very loving and community oriented Christ focused family church. My husband and I were looking for a church and were invited to join the worship team. Amazingly I was so moved by the pastor's message. We were greeted by a warm and inviting group. FBCLC has a classes for young families, youth, men's group, women's groups and a place for anyone just needing a place to learn about the Bible and heal or just have a friend. They are very giving to people in need. Plus my children have joined the youth group and actually lead several small youth group meetings. I highly recommend you just try our church if you are searching to hear God's message. Come find me! I'll show you around! We are a loving family of Christians whose mission is to bring the gospel of Christ to our community, country, and the world. Our time of worship has everything from contemporary Christian music to timeless hymns. Our services are biblically grounded and enlightening. Children and youth are engaged in Christ centered activities and programs like; Vacation Bible School, AWANA, Sunday School, and Summer/Winter Camp. We have ministries that range from local food programs to missionaries across the country and around the world. We would love to talk to you over coffee before or after our 10:45 Sunday service.
