St. James Episcopal Church is an incredibly warm and welcoming place. From our very first visit, we felt genuine kindness, acceptance, and the true spirit of Christian love. The church and grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully cared for. Every detail — from seasonal decorations to the quiet spaces inside — reflects reverence, tradition, and heartfelt dedication. But what makes this place truly special is the people. The clergy, volunteers, and parish members welcome you as if you’ve always belonged here. Their kindness has meant so much to our family. We are deeply grateful to God for leading us here, and we are happy to be part of this community. If you are looking for a church where you can feel peace, connection, and sincere faith — this is the place. Everyone at St. James Episcopal Church in Newport Beach is warm and welcoming. I was the DJ and line dance instructor at their annual hoedown. Not only did everyone participate in the line dancing and have a great time, but there was so much pie! I think every congregant must have brought a pie because there were so many to choose from. I settled on the key lime! An incredible place of worship with an incredible group of people! I have been coming here for 2 years and have never felt this way about a particular church before. This is my spiritual home. I’m so glad I found St. James Episcopal Church! It’s a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone feels at home. The choir is outstanding, with professional singers who truly elevate the service. There’s always something new to celebrate, making every visit special. Reverend Cindy and her staff are wonderful people who genuinely care about the congregation. I highly recommend this church to anyone looking for a friendly and inspiring place to worship! I am very grateful to be a member at St. James. It is truly a faith community both welcoming and affirming. There are lots of activities, discussion groups and musical programs. I am a regular participant in the Ignatian Spirituality Group. That has become an important part of my journey. All are welcome at St. James and the parking is really good.
