What visitors say

Terrible place for a funeral. Had my grandma's funeral here, the preacher was genuinely awful. Unfortunately I didn't get his name, he was an old man. Kept going on about how we'll never see our grandma again if we aren't good enough Christians, we'll go to hell ect, and going to die soon. He kept going on about it instead of any comfort for a grieving family. It felt like a judgemental lecture instead of a funeral. Plus he kept forgetting about the basic facts that were just shared about her, it felt like he was trying to make his speech longer because he wasn't prepared. He just felt really rude and judgemental. There were also some technical issues with the microphone, but they were resolved pretty fast so not a big deal there. A perfect place for a Graduation Celebration for Gateway Seminary. Graduates were from many different countries and for inland valley locals to meet new friends and be encouraged along the path of life. Another safe and truly enjoyable 4th of July celebration. Church staff & volunteers have always been welcoming/friendly, ensuring all who attend feel at home. Went to Immanuel today for the Palm Sunday service. There was no mention of Palm Sunday or the relevance of Palm Sunday. The second service was only 1/2 full. The pastor gave a sermon on three parables from Luke 15. Ending with the parable of the prodigal son with his own twist of grace. My husband and I were so disappointed because the last time we were there, it was bustling with wonderful people. This time it was very sad. They wanted us to take a succulent and invite our neighbors to "Easter" Services, [secular name for Resurrection Sunday]. Not a word about the power of the resurrection. I don't think we will be returning to this church except for the fantastic concert given by the Collingsworth Family, which we paid to see. What is happening in the church? I posted a review that I deleted because I know it would have been reported and the possibility to get removed because of how honest and true it was. Although proof of my wedding would secure the review because it would be true! I have been baptized by this church. I have been counseled by Robb Zinn as a child with my family as well as when I got married at the church. I have never been considered a member as far as I know. If you don’t tithe you are not a member just a guest. Uncle Robb after you baptized me did my parents not tithe and that is why you never try to facilitate the very relationship you anointed? How do you not see how manipulating that baptism was. You definitely never treated me like a child of God, you wanted nothing to do with me because of who my father was. Had to be a family thing not a religious thing right!?! IBC was the church that laid the foundation for my relationship with Christianity. That foundation was, that Christians act one way in public and another way behind closed doors. Age and experience has taught me how IBC is just a business hiding behind the Bible and religion for some tax breaks. Robb Zinn you of all people should have known better than take a child in the environment and situation I was in and baptize me for show. I am sure you spent many nights in that room on Casa Loma wonder why you were dealt the cards that put you there, what you could of done as a kid to end up in the situation your parents put you in. Yet when given the opportunity to actually do what Jesus said to do, you only did the talking no walking. Do as I say not as I do behind closed doors. That baptism was you just playing a part and now almost 40 years later that prop you used is here to tell you and everyone the truth. IBC is nothing put a Ponzi scheme using religion to justify their action as sinners and avoid accountability to the damages their actions have done.
