We generally attend another non-denominational church, but my granddaughter had been invited to try youth group. Her friend ended up not coming so she joined me in church. Positive: We really liked the pastor who spoke. I loved the scripture references and bases of his sermon. I felt the sermon was lead by God, not scripted. I do not know who the pastor was because he didn't introduce himself nor did the pamphlet we were given say who he was. Negative: The worship hall was generic and cold. The seating is difficult to see the band or pastor. We were seated in the back after asking for help by an usher. Most of the closer seating being saved by people who looked at us like we were bothering them for a seat. An usher escorted us to the "family section" in the back. We were a party of three, myself, a 7 year old, and a 12 year old, both kids very well behaved. None of us could see the pastor. Growing up in a Calvary Chapel of Orange County on the 70's, things have definitely changed. We looked clearly new and felted more judged than accepted. I am sad because I really wanted to like it more. Such a gem of a church ! Messages are always super solid- biblically sound, verse by verse straight from the Word, no compromise, really dive deep. Worship and prayer is always incredible- so powerful and Spirit-led. I love how we have prayer/worship night every first Wednesday of the month. The Young Adults here is the best- such an awesome group to get into the Word, worship, pray, and do life with. So thankful to call Wildwood home ! GOOD MORNING. MY SON WAS REJECTED AS HE TOOK HIS 84 YRS OLD GRAMA TO SUNRISE SERVICE.MR.BOB ONE OF THE TRAFFIC CONTROLLER TOLD HIM HE COULDN'T DROP OFF HIS 84 GRAMA AS I WAS WATCHING EVERYONE ELSE WERE GETTING DROPPED OFF . UNFORTUNATELY MY SON HAD TO SLOWLY WALK HIS 84 GRAMA DOWN THE STEEP HILL. SHAME ON YOU MR BOB THIS WAS OUR 4 TH YEAR N NEVER HAD NEEN REJECTED. Wildwood Calvary is extremely warm, welcoming and hospitable. Their pastoral staff and care for their community is remarkable. Their love and care for others, their diligence in the word of God and their love of Jesus is reflected in the activities and community that they are building. Well done team!
